The creation of baseline data sets for the implementation of Marine Conservation Zones as well as the condition

monitoring of European Marine Sites around the UK.

We work with artificial habitats, MPA, mangroves, coral reefs, rocky shores, aquaculture, biofouling, underwater imaging and image analysis, test method development and taxonomy.

Development of numerical modelling of big environmental data for predicating biofouling and translocation of invasive species; development of statistical models to predict the performance of commercial marine vessels; assessment of global sites for trials of novel marine technology.

Creation of global marine and terrestrial environmental databases for the analysis of big data in the cloud using

machine learning and visualization of big data using advanced geospatial methods for predictive environmental modelling.

We organise bespoke field courses for foreign Marine Biology students based in a tranquil fishing village on the Gulf Coast of the Yucatan, including activities to learn its flora and fauna, history and culture while building links with researchers and experts at local institutes.
